The New Skatepark At Bearwood Is Now Open And Free For All To Skate Or Ride,New Smooth Concrete And A Brand New Layout Thrown In And It Seems Popular. It Opened On Bank Hoilday Monday In May 2011. If Your Passing By Come Check It Out.

The New Skatepark At Lightwoods Park In Bearwood Is Complete And Now Open, Bearwood Has Coping Its 2011 But It Is Never To Late.

Bearwood Skatepark Update.

Bearwoods Infamous Skatepark In Lightwoods Park Is Under Construction/Refurbishment For A New Skatepark,It Is Due To Open On The 2nd May 2011, From What The Designs Look Like, It Seems Interesting To Pedal And Cruise The Finished Project, The Old Skatepark Was Unique In Its Own Right, Kind Of A Different Way To Approach The Banks Was A Learning Step, So Its Thumbs Up For The Old And Original Set Up And Onto The New Era,Its A Great Step For The Up And Coming Generation Of Youth, The Old Banks Had A Way Where You Had To Get To Learn The Way The Banks Curved And Varied Quite Quickly, Which Probably Put Off A Lot Of People Who Came To Adventure And Explore Bearwood Skatepark. Having Been Around The Original Bmxers/Skateboarders From Bearwood Who Had A Hand With Input Into Annekas Skatepark, A Good Move By Sandwell Council To Invest In The Park, Good On Them.

Lightwoods Park.

A Few Months Ago There Was Talk Of A New Revamped Skatepark Down At Lightwoods Park In Bearwood, Lightwoods Park Was Under Birmingham City Councils Control For Quite A Few Years. It Has Now Been Handed Over To Sandwell Councils Control For Maintenance And Upkeep, On The Openday There Was A Tent Up With Designs/Ideas Of What The New Park Should Be Like, And Some Very Good Interesting Designs/Ideas There Was On Display. Only Way This Is To Be A Success Is For The Youth, Who Use It On A Regular Basis To Have Input From Start To Finish, All Will Be Seen As To What Is To Come Of The Park, Personally I Like The Original Setup We Have Now. Would Be Nice To See The New Designs Working Around The Original Setup Rather Than Upset The Setup We Have.
