Northampton Radlands Part 3 Oh !! Whats This Here

This Encounter happened at a Contest/Jam being held at Radlands in the 1990s, all the UKs top names in the game are in attendance. This is going to be a real good contest and there is some good riding to be seen no doubt. I personally can't wait for it to begin and am looking forward to it. I got my place sorted with a good all round view, and with the rest of the Bearwood Team (BONUS), We was all on top of this Cupboard/Room type of box which had a flat roof, just by the driveway it was?? So were all on top of this roof with the contest in full flight. The atmosphere was electrifying, the riders were raising the roof, and it was just amazing to watch, the noise of the people cheering when the riders were blasting was LOUD, on top of that was a LOUD sound system playing the music of the moment. Bearwood BMX Team Members would be all out and enjoy every aspect of the day, no matter what, we moved in a positive manner, we would always prank amongst ourselves and never bother anyone else. Except this incident that ended up involving the whole contest. In the height of the moment i'm not sure who it was from the Team. But there was some electrical extension leads plugged into the sockets right behind us, Out of all the sockets in the whole building, whoever it was, they probably was thinking "Whats This Here" and switched off the plug which was feeding current to the whole sound system. It went from a "raising the roof" LOUD atmosphere to Pin Drop Silence and all these riders looking up to where we was. OOOpps Sorry, I was just thinking Oh Oh here we go Fight Time, you could see the eye balls firing up on us. "We mean no harm we just here for a good time good people". We was just cracking a rib truthfully, thinking we just scraped that one by. The contest commences and you would think that would be it but, OH NO it wasn't, Bearwood Tom later on in the day, gets onto the vert ramp where they are commentating from, and grabs the MIC and starts to sing the Tom Jones song "Delilah" to the masses. He done Tom Jones proud and Bearwood Bmx Proud, and i don't think their was one dry eye in the building, everyone was in hysterics. Big Respect To Bearwood Tom. MUCH PEACE AND BLESSINGS TO EACH AND ALL BEARBMX >
